In today’s world, Youtube is a phenomenon. It is an incredible resource - a library of informational videos, helpful lessons and instruction, original content, and historical archives, available on demand, anywhere you have an internet connection, and on any device from your smartphone, to your laptop, to your television.
Youtube has also created a platform for anyone to create a channel, developing and promoting their own content, and in many cases earning a substantial income.
Among those developing content are a large group of people developing golf content - from instruction to travel to equipment, and to golf experiences. Many of which are new and inventive and outside the box.
This has drawn a whole new group of people to the game of golf, and we think that is good!
It’s impossible to list ALL the Golf Youtubers! This is a case where the search bar in Youtube in your friend. Search for anything of interest in golf, and see what comes up.
For example …
Give it a try! Get creative!
Here are also a couple of Youtube Golf channels worth noting ;
Good Good Golf was founded by Matt Kendrick, Stephen Castaneda, Garrett Clark, Matt Scharff, Micah Morris, and Tom Broders, and through their videos, they have created this incredible brand which now has approx. 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube. Their videos are about these guys and friends playing golf all around the country. The videos are creative, fun and engaging. An average video gets around 600,000 views. Thats alot. At an average of say $20 ad revenue for 1000 views, that’s $12,000 per video, and they have produced to date 471 videos. Good business there.
Here is a good article on Good Good Golf from D Magazine. What they have accomplished is incredible, and there is a lot more to come.
Another popular Youtube Golf Channel is Rick Shiels Golf.
Rick has 2.8 million followers, and has been a Youtuber since 2011. His channel is about instruction, playing golf at great courses and with interesting people. Rick is excellent and very very popular!
If you want more, just google “Golf on YouTube” … or “Best Golf on YouTube”.
You’ll start to see all that is available!

So at the heart of a Good Golf experience is a good golf course. Good in terms of accessibility, price, layout, location, etc. But also a golf course that is in good condition. That is where we get to the Golf Superintendent - the master of ensuring that our golf course is green, playable, and the fairways, rough, bunkers and greens are in good condition.
We have to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. They are the unsung heroes of a Good Golf Experience, and we need to support them anyway we can. Anyone can now join the GCSAA as a “Friend”. Here is more info below
