Greetings.
On my way to becoming a Lifetime Member of the Golf Writers Association of America, I started the FIRST Golf Web site, in 1994, called GOLFweb.com, named the Best Sports Site on the Web in 1996 (beating out ESPN.com), named one of the Top 5 Sites on the Web in 1998 by Business Week, and sold and merged with PGATOUR.com in 1999. I partnered with Jack Nicklaus on GOLFweb and several of Jack’s projects, such as The World Golf Network. I also built Jack’s first personal website, JackNicklaus.com. I partnered with PING and built their first online club fitting system, and I partnered with Sal Johnson on GOLFstats.com. Also, interesting note ... while working at Texas Instruments in 1979 I wrote the software for the first hand held GPS receiver. The unit was the size of a shoebox!
Fast forward to todya, with all the upheaval in professional golf over the past year, I now want to shift my focus. I want work to highlight the Good in the Game ... the Good in Golf - what we love about this game. Just the Good Stuff! No negativity, rants, hot takes, crises or drama. The stories, people, events, places and unforgettable experiences that make this such a great game for a lifetime.
If anything comes to mind when you think of what is truly Good about this Game, please email me and I'll consider it in the newsletter.
This is free newsletter.
If you'd like to subscribe and support me, that would really help, and I'd appreciate that as well.
Thank you.
